    Stop looking at other places and BOOK the Barn on the Pond! We had an absolutely WONDERFUL time. It's everything described and more; the kind of space you step into, immediately take a deep breath, and just relax. It is particularly well designed for large groups to spend time together, which is a very hard find! There were 13 of us together to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday and it was somehow miraculously designed for all of us -age 3 to 73. The interior decor is incredible, the kitchen fully stocked with appliances to make cooking in a breeze, and the couches, deep, soft, and sink-into-for-the-entire-night comfortable. And the process of reserving, paying, and staying was incredibly professional, to boot. Book it; you won't regret it!

    My group stayed at the Barn on the Pond during MLK weekend and to put things simply, we are hoping to go back! To start, the house is absolutely stunning. The common area is huge. Everything in the pictures are accurate and the house comes with literally everything our group needed. We had a former professional chef in my group and he said the kitchen was amazing and came equipped with everything we needed. Additionally, the home is very well insulated and the bathrooms are extremely clean. The outdoor backyard and deck areas are beautiful, and that huge fire pit was a big big favorite with my group.

     

    Secondly, Tripp is great property manager. I've rented many homes in the past and he was definitely among the best I've ever worked with. For example, he set us up with a fire wood provider before we arrived and they had the pit all ready to go with the light of a match. I'll definitely keep in touch with him and the Barn on the Pond for another visit soon.

    I spent a weekend at Barn on the Pond with 15 friends for my bachelorette weekend. The common space is beautiful and is perfect for large groups, and the kitchen/bathrooms/bedrooms have absolutely everything you need from cookware to extra sheets and towels. The wraparound porch on the 2nd floor is incredible, and the outdoor fire pit was perfect for our group. We had a few sleeping in the trailer which was extremely comfortable as well. We had an amazing weekend and I'd recommend the house to anyone!

    This time last week I was at Barn On The Pond, sitting round the firepit with a group of friends roasting marshmallows under a giant full moon. The 9 of us had the Barn for about a week and it made for a perfect country getaway. It was easy to get to without a car from NYC (bus to kingston + cab) and we took plenty of groceries so that we didn't need to head into Woodstock or Saugerties unless we fancied dining out or takeaway pizza. One afternoon four of us sat in the secret alcove on the upper deck for 3 or 4 hours, lounging on pillows and drinking wine as cicadas buzzed and the sky gently changed from blue to orange to mauve to black. It's a memory that'll sustain me until the next time I'm there.

    We spent a long weekend at Barn on the Pond for our daughter's graduation. We celebrated graduation, birthdays and an engagement over the long weekend with numerous meals, games on the lawn, conversations on the upstairs terrace at the fireplace and around the firepit. At one point we pulled together a bbq for 24 like it was nothing. The kitchen was incredibly easy to work in and so well stocked with platters, dishware, cookware etc. Perfect down to the led lights charging waiting to be put in the various holders around the house and the little lights on the banister for outdoor night lighting. The weekend mantra was.....Can you believe this place? Thank you for your thoughtful attention to detail.

    I rented the barn for the month of March with my husband and 2 young children.  The barn was clean and fully stocked, beautifully designed and decorated.  The inside is open and airy, yet warm and cozy.  It's perfectly designed for groups, too.  We had a large group of guests one weekend (9 adults and 6 kids) and had chef Jodi Cummings cook a wonderful gourmet meal for us.  Jodi was easy to work with, brought in organic meats and vegetables and did all the serving and clean up.  Tripp and his concierge, Sarah, were also responsive and accommodating. I can't recommend this place enough.  We would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

    This was an amazing place to stay. I was in awe at how beautiful the house was inside and out. I came with a pretty large group of people to spend what is one of our last weekends together before the military life tooks us far away from each other. The house was meant for large groups to lounge around and talk. The living room was perfect for the whole group to sit down and just hang out. I want to get the place again to just enjoy the living room once more. Tripp was fantastic and patient with all the questions I had. I highly recommend the house to anyone for any occasion.     A wonderful weekend get-away spot for a group of friends, made possible by the owner's thoughtful (cheeky) design and decor.  It rained for 24 hours straight, so we didn't make use of the outdoor areas -- BBQ, swing, firepit, deck, airstream -- and yet we still loved our weekend?  Yup, 100%.  There aren't a lot of places for rent for which I could say that.  Really a great spot, thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

    This review is coming a bit late but I wanted to make sure I wrote it because this place is incredible! My friends and I had the absolute best weekend on Barn on the Pond. There was plenty of room for the group to hang out comfortably. The kitchen is gorgeous and the setting is perfect. The fire pit made for two magical nights of story-telling and the lawn was perfect for sun bathing during the day. Tripp was easy to work with and very organized.     Tripp was beyond helpful in the planning stages of our weekend away. The "barn" is something out of a magazine! It's a hybrid between luxury and comfort. The homeowners have forgotten nothing! A tooth brush and some clothing and you are set! The home is located only minutes away from picturesque Woodstock, but we loved the home so much we only ventured out for a few hours - excited to get back to the coziness and beauty the barn offers! By the end of our girls weekend- we were talking about renting it again in the summer time!

    Barn on The Pond is the perfect weekend escape, vacation destination for relaxation, and beautiful venue for a variety of events.

     

    We were lucky enough to stay for a beautiful week in October at the peak of the leaves changing in beautiful weather. The minute we stepped into the home, we were immediately in vacation mode-- it's hard not to be with its serene property, beautiful high open ceilings and a welcoming decor. The kitchen was made for entertaining, whether that's hosting a holiday for family, pepping for an event, or simply cooking dinner for 2 or 12. The bedrooms are all warm and inviting and to sit by the fire-- either inside in the living room listening to records or outside upstairs, cozied up looking out into the mountains with a drink-- is heaven.

     

    There's a beautiful fire pit that we sat with friends around with a beer to catch up and roast some s'mores and the airbed (basically an XL hammock) is the ideal way to lose track of time staring at the sky.

     

    To look out of our windows or sit on the upper back porch with coffee looking out at the pond and the background of trees and mountains was perfect.

     

    Every amenity was thoughtfully in place. Tripp and his team have thought of everything and go out of their way to make sure your trip is comfortable, enjoyable and memorable.

     

    We were a group of 11 + a our dog and had the best time, even hosting our annual pumpkin beer tasting. There's no lesser accommodations though, even the airstream (about 100 feet from the house) was roomy, funky and fun to stay in.

     

    This is a wonderful hidden gem and we look forward to coming back in the future.

    We had the barn for a long weekend with friends - it has a stunning view of Overlook mountain and easy drive to hikes and waterfalls nearby. The barn had all modern amenities, a great open kitchen plus wireless music speakers that can ported to every room. The upper decks and fire pit are great places to hangout at night for stargazing and there is a fun airstream too. It was a great place to be near nature and yet have the luxuries of comfort within reach..

     

    Ideal Destination for Intimate Gatherings

    I wanted to organize a trip for 16 adults and 10 children, and was hard-pressed to find a house that accommodate such a large group, in an intimate setting. While the barn does not in fact hold that many, it was wonderful to find out that there are neighboring properties which can be rented in combination with The Barn. So we were able to rent The Barn, in addition to the house next door (beautiful in its own right), and create the intimate weekend I had imagined, with a larger group. It worked like a charm!

     

    On top of this, I was also looking to have catered meals prepared onsite, and The Barn came through with flying colors in this category as well. Jodi Cummings is the house's resident private chef who, you can hire as an option to cook fabulous meals. Being tied to a local, high-quality livestock farm, Jodi was able to source very high-quality meats for our meals, at a very reasonable price. Her cooking was perfect for the setting: wholesome, fresh ingredients, restaurant quality, and then some. Jodi impressed me as the kind of chef who could cater to almost any taste. And with her assistant present for our dinners, cleanup was taken care of.

     

    The barn itself was as beautiful, and more so, than the photos suggest. The owners clearly have excellent taste, and put a lot of energy into a decor that is perfect for the upstate setting. If design is important to you, The Barn will not disappoint.

     

    Our group also took advantage of the airstream on the property, and it was surprisingly comfortable, even in the cold weather. Friends of ours stayed in the camper with their 3 year-old son, and were really happy with their experience.

     

    Our group took full advantage of the sweeping front lawn, the fire pit, the *huge* circular hammock, and we really just had a perfect weekend.

     

    I've rented *many* places upstate, and The Barn is now at the top of my list.

    We stayed at Barn on the Pond for one night in November, to celebrate my mother's birthday, and enjoyed every minute of it. The barn is carefully and meticulously designed - every piece of furniture, every lamp, every decorative piece is very tasteful and it all comes together to form a beautiful home. The house took my parents' breath away when they entered (it is pretty impressive, because of the high ceiling and the light-filled interior).

     

    On the first day we had great weather, so we were able to enjoy an entire afternoon outside by the firepit. We prepped the food for our barbeque in the giant chef's kitchen (makes it pretty hard to go back to your New York City-sized kitchen...) and the owners leave a bunch of stuff in the pantry, so that it's easy to whip up sauces and basics with what is already there.

     

    The next day was cold and windy, so we were happy to chillax inside by the firepit, play several rounds of Jenga (provided), enjoy the comfy reclining chairs and the lovely interior.

    We had an amazing time at The Barn on the Pond! From the start Tripp, the owner, and Fia were beyond helpful and accommodating. The house is beautiful and so comfortable with a wonderful great room that was perfect for group dinners. The kitchen is by far the best kitchen I have ever worked in. It was very snowy when we were there, but we would love to return when we could enjoy the beautiful property. All in all, highly recommended!

This is not an ordinary place..The Barn itself is unique and pretty but the inside has such a tasteful decor. Its a cozy sanctuary that you never want to leave.. The home has all the amenities that you could want-and is outfitted with all kitchen supplies for hugh feasts.. The fire pit is an added plus as its fun to curl up with your friends and sit by the fire.

    Our time here was AMAZING!!!! Highest marks all around. A beautiful barn and a perfect setting for a birthday weekend with great friends. Huge and room for all, the massive main area was a perfect setting for an extended weekend of hanging out by the fireplace, chillin with the peeps and eating great food.     The first time I stayed at this property, I thought that I could never recreate the amazing time spent there. Now I have stayed here three times, and am consistently blown away by the atmosphere of this home. There is so much attention to detail that with every turn, you are delighted by yet another charming or gorgeous thing. Anyone you invite here will feel the same. It's difficult to find a space that is as unique and beautiful as this one. It is at once both luxurious and comfortable.

     

    Whether you're planning an event, or sneaking away for a personal escape, the space is very accommodating to whatever your plans may be. Times spent at the beautiful sunken fire pit are sure to be remembered.. As are the meals cooked and shared in this dream kitchen. Thirty foot peaked ceilings in the main room of this house give the sensation of endless space. Take a walk through the wild flower garden. Spend some time in the round extra-large hammock. Or simply enjoy the view of sloping mountains from the wrap around balcony. If it's chilly, don't fret, just sit by the outdoor fireplace up there (it turns on with the flick of a light switch). Also, there is a surplus of comfortable sleeping arrangements throughout the house. In the summer the barn is airy and cool, and in the winter perfectly toasty and warm (the heated floors are a great touch).

    Tripp did an amazing job with the Barn on the Pond! I went up here for a pre-holiday weekend with a group of 10 friends and it was above and beyond anything we could've asked for. The place was beautifully furnished and they even put up Christmas decorations to make it more festive! The place was huge and fit my large group with room to spare. The large open living area, kitchen, and dining space were especially nice so we could all be in the same area at once. Tripp was always available by text to answer any questions I had and even had a video of how to operate everything. The meticulous details of the space and all of the guides provided about the high-tech home are so well thought out and beyond impressive. We used the space for an intimate team offsite of 15 and it was just perfect. Tripp recommended Chef Jodi Cummings to help with some of the food logistics and she was a dream to work with on building fun team building activities around eating like a local upstate and cooked us an incredible meal and provided staff for cleanup and preparation for setting the ambience. I highly recommend you book her when you book your stay. Tripp has set the bar so high that I don't have a reference or point of comparison to the incredible service and accomodations that come with Barn on The Pond other than a 5-star hotel experience. Thank you Tripp and the Barn on The Pond team! Side note: I highly recommend this space for event planners and producers planning corporate or social offsites - your work will be cut in half if you choose this space!

    By far my best airbnb trip to date! I'm not sure even where to begin. My family and I had wonderful time at Barn on the Pond this past weekend. It was truly special. The home was .. perfect; the layout, the decor, the location on the pond .. everything, well, just worked! We enjoyed breakfast as a group of 12 each day on the large table in the great room (our most favorite part of the trip). We also made great use of the fire pit and the land, finishing our trip with a little game of touch football.     Our experience at Barn on the Pond was wonderful. From the ease of booking at the start, to the consistent, clear communication leading up to the trip, as well as our time there, everything was wonderful. The Barn on the Pond team was very timely in responding to e-mails, including while we were there, if we had any questions, they were answered within minutes. The welcome video was very descriptive, and made the high-tech house very easy to use and very functional. The house itself was absolutely stunning. The wrap around top deck with outside fire place and seating area was amazing. The fire pit out back was a huge success. The house had everything we could have asked for. The kitchen was well stocked and very functional for food prep. The sleeping arrangements were great, we were able to fit so many people into the house. The backyard pond was beautiful and Overlook mountain in the view was amazing to wake up to each morning. The airstream trailer was great and really reminded us that we were in Woodstock. The big hammock swing was a big hit amongst our party and great for star gazing. Tripp was so easy to work with, and his acting in the introduction to the house video was stellar. It was also amazing that the house was within walking distance to Opus 40, where we got free admission because we were guests at Barn on the Pond. The fire pit is awesome, and the fireplace on the deck, which is huge and amazing -- also awesome. This is a great getaway for a group. We had 12 friends sleep at BOTP, which exceeded the number of comfortable beds, but there are couches and plenty of space for air mattresses. The boldest among us slept in the Airstream and got a kick out of it. The house is also very well stocked, from the cutlery in the kitchen to the record collection. BOTP is a magical place that I hope you get to visit!
